Hi all,
Sorry for speaking English, I'm an expat that moved just recently.
I have a big collection of value cards from Modern (almost everything competitive) and Legacy (some). I decided that I cannot follow up with competitive play so I want to sell off the most expensive cards (I wont bother with the cheap bulk). What is the best way to do it in the Netherlands? (I live in Amsterdam).
I want to avoid doing it card by card, but then what would be the best way? Which stores buy out? Also, if players would buy, would they prefer value cards only or full deck? ( I keep about 20 modern decks, including Elfball, Ravager Affinity, Tooth N Nail, Urzatron, Red Deck Wins, Ad Nauseam, Living End, Dredgevine and more)
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions!

Re: Selling off Modern collection - best way to do it bulk?
I am based in Amsterdam, would be willing to take a look when I am back from holiday.
It's all about time spent vs money obtained: the more effort you put in, the better the results will be. If you just want to bulk it out and have it over with quickly: separate out the cards you remember to be valuable (>€5). The buyer will look at those, make an offer and assuming you reach a deal he'll take it all with him. Expect to receive nowhere near shop prices (often less than 50%).
You could ask the buyer to go through it all, this will lead to lower overall prices (because of the effort), but he might find things you missed, increasing the value. If you have a somewhat recent idea of prices: don't bother.
You could also look it all up yourself, make a spreadsheet and send that to any potential buyer, as you can shop around you'll likely end up with more, but, it takes substantial effort for insubstantial gains.
Depending on your own knowledge knowledge of prices I would go for the first or second option. I would be happy to do either (I buy and resell about 2 collections a year, I am very active on the international market for Magic, last year around this time I bought a collection of about 100k cards, I'm mostly a collector though, so likely to go higher on my wants than pure resellers would). My preference lies with buying all of it, but if the price is right I'll buy whatever's available.
Some questions potential buyers are likely to ask:
- How many cards are we talking about?
- Do the cards come (roughly) sorted?
- From which sets does the bulk come primarily?
- What are your top cards?
- Do you have an asking price?
- Were they well stored or is the bulk likely to be worn? (Expect more critical grading than you're used to).
- Do the cards come in boxes and binders that can easily be transported?
Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you want me to have a look.

Hi Nikola,
Could be interested in buying the whole collection. Any hint at your expected price for everything ? Also, you mention decks in your message. Are those decks you keep, or more cards you want to sell in the whole deal ? If so could you list the notable cards of the decks / sides ?
Best regards,
Xavier
